I was born in Limestone County and proud to call it my home. I am a 1977 graduate of Jacksonville State University in education. My master degree was completed at Jacksonville State in 1981 in physical education. I completed my administration certification at the University of North Alabama in 1989. I have my AA is from Alabama A&M University in administration and supervision. I am married to Laura Witt Black, who teaches 1st grade at Creekside Elementary. We have a daughter, Anna, a junior at "The University of Alabama". Our son, Witt, is a senior at East Limestone. This begins my 36th year at East Limestone High School. During my career at East Limestone I have coached baseball, football, basketball while teaching history and physical education. I have worked as a teacher for 12 years, the assistant principal/athletic director for 12 years before having the opportunity to be the principal for the past 11 years.
