My name is Debbie Poland. This will be my second year as counselor at East Limestone. I share my time between East and Johnson Elementary. This will be my 8th year to be employed by the Limestone County Board as a counselor. My first six years I was the 9th - 12th Grade Counselor at Clements. I was in the classroom as a teacher for 23 years. I recieved my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education and my graduate degree in Counseling from the University of North Alabama. My greatest experience in working with high school students comes from having children of my own. I have four children, Bailey, my only daughter is 28years old and an Auburn Graduate (WAR EAGLE), Taylor my oldest son is 27and married to Amy Russell , from Athens. The two of them graduated from Athens State, and have given me my two sweet grandchildren, Rowe and Anna. My third son, Fletcher, is 23 and graduated from Piedmont College in GA and is currently working on his masters degree at UNA. My youngest , Cody, (from whom I draw the greatest amount of counseling experience) is 16 and will be a junior at Westminster Christian Academy in Huntsville. My best friend is my husband, Mike. We enjoy traveling when we can and watching sports together.
