What is FCCLA?

Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) is a dynamic and effective national student organization that helps young men and women become leaders and address important personal, family, work, and societal issues through Family and Consumer Sciences education. Participation in national programs and chapter activities helps members become strong leaders in their families, careers, and communities. This organization also offers scholarships, competitive events, community service opportunities, and leadership workshops to help members in their future endeavors.

Fee

The fee to join FCCLA is $15.00. This fee includes state and national dues. The fee must be paid before the next meeting, or the student will not be able to attend events and meetings.

The fee will affiliate the student for one school year.

FCCLA Creed

We are the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America.
We face the future with warm courage and high hope.

For we have the clear consciousness of seeking old and precious values.
For we are the builders of homes, Homes for America's future,
Homes where living will be the expression of everything that is good and fair,
Homes where truth and love and security and faith will be realities, not dreams.

We are the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America.
We face the future with warm courage and high hope.

Ms. Hilliard’s Goals for the 2014- 2015 School Year

This year, I wish to increase our memberships, community service events, fundraising, participation in FCCLA programs, trips, and number of competitors in our annual STAR Events. The FCCLA National Convention and STAR Events will be in Washington D.C., and I want our chapter to represent Alabama as winners. This will take tons of hard work, but I know East Limestone students are the best and dedicate themselves remarkably. This is only my second year being a FCCLA adviser, and I want our club to grow and grow. We’ve learned the steps of FCCLA at East Limestone High School, but now it is time to run!
