Requirements for Membership

Requirements

• Prospective members must have a 90 or above over-all average of the five core classes (English, literature, math, social studies, and science) for both semesters of the previous school year.
• Prospective members must be of good character, have good attendance, and good classroom behavior.
• Prospective members must be willing to participate in Junior Beta activities and community service projects.
• Dues are $35.00 for new members and $20.00 for existing members.

A copy of the Jr. Beta Constitution and By-laws can be found on the "File" page. Please read and discuss this document with your child; print the document, sign and date, and return the last page of the document with your child's membership dues.

As soon as eligibility is determined, an invitation will be issued to the student. Look for these during the first two weeks of school.

Dues should be placed in an envelop with the member's name, grade, and address on the envelop. This should be given to Mrs. Schrimsher BEFORE induction ceremonies so that certificates can be ordered from National Headquarters. (Existing members will not receive another certificate.)
