East Limestone Wants To Build a Lifelong Love of Reading in Every Student!

Accelerated Reader (AR) is the most popular and successful reading product of all time.  It makes essential reading practice more effective for every student. It personalizes reading practice to each student's current level. It works to build a love of reading and learning.

East Limestone has gone one step further with our AR program. We have purchased AR Enterprise. This program assesses students' reading with FOUR types of quizzes: Reading Practice, Vocabulary Practice, Literacy Skills, and Textbook Quizzes. This program has a database of over 100,000 AR quizzes, and about 3,000 quizzes are added to that every week! This means that not only can students test on books that are housed in our library but also on books that they may enjoy reading outside of school! We feel it will offer many more opportunities for students to read all of the things they enjoy while still earning their required number of AR points.

1.        Student Reads a Book.  Students choose books at their appropriate reading level and read them at their own pace. Students may read books from our library, books they've purchased at a book store, books from a public library, and even books they've received as gifts! 2.      Student Takes a Quiz.  Accelerated Reader Enterprise offers over 100,000 quizzes to help motivate and monitor students' reading and vocabulary growth.

3.      You Get Information. You get immediate feedback on the reading and vocabulary progress of each student.
