American Legion High School Oratorical Contest
- Open to grades 9-12
- Only one student from ELHS allowed to participate
- Local winnings - $300 for 1st place; $200 for 2nd place
- Local contest - February 6th
- Winner of local contest competes on District level
- Winner of District level competes on Division level
- State winner will receive $5,000 plus full-tuition scholarship offers from most colleges in Alabama.
- National winner will receive $18,000.
