I'm originally from Louisiana, but moved to Alabama to go to college.  I then went to Boston to attend graduate school, but discovered that you really can't take the south out of the girl.  I returned to Alabama two years later (Master's degree and yankee husband in tow) to start my teaching career.  This is my eighth year teaching, and my third at East.  I truly love what I do.  It is as much a part of who I am as anything else in my life.  When I'm not teaching, I love to bake, read, and go to concerts.
