Creekside PTO meeting, House sorting for new staff and students, and Faculty Meeting with Dr. Shearouse. It's a GREAT week at Creekside!
It has been a great start to a new school year!
Over the summer, Limestone County Schools switched to a new mass communication system. We will now be sending calls, texts, and email alerts through Apptegy. All text messages will now come from the number 98900. In addition, push notifications will be sent via the Limestone County Schools app. It can be found by searching Limestone County School District in Google Play and the App Store and can be customized to Creekside Elementary via settings. (You may have received the notification about the weather dismissal from an Arkansas number last week. The company is based in Arkansas, but calls should begin coming from 98900 very soon.)
Another change this year is that we will be assessing students during the year with iReady in math and reading instead of STAR. We will begin assessments tomorrow morning. The reports from iReady will allow us to really zero in on areas where students need to improve and help us celebrate all the great learning at CES!

Tues. Aug. 15th, 4:00p.m. - 1st PTO meeting in the cafeteria
Tues. Aug. 22nd, 5:00 p.m.- Mrs. Ragasa will meet with parents of gifted students.
Fri. Aug. 25th is Fall Picture Day
Wed. Aug. 30th is BOOSTERTHON Kick-Off
Our extended day program is open and ready for new students. There's a QR code in the Back to School information or you can stop by either school office for paper copies of registration information. If you have a balance from the Spring, please pay that ASAP.

Due to the threat of severe weather forecast for this afternoon, all Limestone County Schools will operate on the following early dismissal schedule: Elementary Schools will dismiss at 12:40 and High Schools will dismiss at 1:00.

We are excited about a new school year!
Our Summer of Achievement in Reading (SOAR) and 21st Century programs are off to a great start at all of our elementary schools! Through these summer programs students are able to participate in science, technology, enrichment, art, and music (STEAM) activities, as well as get reading and math instruction.
