Hey this is Matt Scott, Principal @ East Limestone. I hope everyone had a nice weekend.

I would like to congratulate our Bowling teams. They competed in the State Finals this weekend in Mobile. Our boys team finished state runner-up and our girls team lost in the final 4. Congrats to both teams on a great season.

Our Varsity Boys wrestling team competed this weekend at the Columbia Invitational and finished in 2nd place while competing against 14 other teams. Great job!

Our Varsity boys and girls basketball teams each won their first round of the Area tournament this weekend. Our girls will play in the area championship tomorrow evening @ Ardmore @ 6:00 pm and our boys will play in the area championship on Tuesday evening @ Madison Academy @ 6:00 pm. Good luck to our basketball teams!

Our Fishing team competed this weekend at Lake Martin. All teams did well and caught fish which leads to points to qualify for state. Great job East Fishing!

Impact period will be 7th period on Monday.

All 11th Graders will be participating in mandatory ACT Prep during Impact period every day.

Join us on February 15th @ 6:30 at Ardmore for Donkey Basketball. Our very own Mr. Green will be playing. Tickets are $10. This is a joint FFA fundraiser for Limestone FFA organizations.

Pajamas and house shoes are not allowed per the Limestone County School District’s dress code.

This is a reminder that good sportsmanship at athletic events is not only an expectation but also a requirement. Our games and competitions are family-friendly events between high school teams. Profane language, racial slurs, or harassment of the officials, players on either team, coaches, or fellow fans will not be permitted and will result in immediate ejection of the fan from the campus for the current and future events without further warning.

Cell phone policy reminder - cell phones, headphones or smart watches are not allowed to be out during the school day. This includes breakfast and lunch.

All other absences are considered unexcused

Students who are crossing the road in the afternoons….please use the crosswalk and push the button on the traffic signal to alert oncoming traffic.
