Hey this is Matt Scott, Principal @ East Limestone. I hope everyone had a nice weekend and you are ready for Super Bowl Sunday!

Our East Limestone High Varsity Wrestling Team competed in the North Alabama 5A Super Sectionals, securing 7th place out of 14 teams!

We have three wrestlers who have qualified for the state tournament:

Antwone DuBose - 285 lb

Zach Reynolds - 152 lb

Tristan Brown - 175 lb

These exceptional athletes will proudly represent East Limestone at the State Wrestling Tournament in Huntsville!

Our girls and boys basketball teams were eliminated this weekend in the sub-regional playoffs. I want to congratulate both girls and boys teams, coaches and cheerleaders for great seasons.

Ms. Lyda, our Jr/Sr Counselor will have a Parent/Student meeting for “Rising Jrs and Rising Srs” on Tuesday, February 20 @ 6:00 in the new gym.

Jr. Beta Club fees are due by Monday, February 12th.

With Valentine's Day right around the corner, send a friend or a special someone a sweet treat. Candy grams will be sold Thursday through Tuesday during lunch for $5 dollars. You can choose between a flower with a card or a candy bag with a card. The candy grams will be delivered on Wednesday February 14th during the first period.

Impact period will be 7th period on Monday.

All 11th Graders will be participating in mandatory ACT Prep during Impact period every day.

Join us on February 15th @ 6:30 at Ardmore for Donkey Basketball. Our very own Mr. Green will be playing. Tickets are $10. This is a joint FFA fundraiser for Limestone FFA organizations.

Cheer tryout packets in both offices starting Feb 1st. Last day to turn in these packets will be Feb 26th and tryouts are March 4-8.

PROM Tickets Are On Sale NOW!

Prom will be held April 5th at The Roundhouse in Huntsville.

For the next two weeks, ticket prices will be:

$75 for a single ticket

$100 for a couple

Prices will increase on February 26th.

Students must either write a check to ELHS or have EXACT cash. No change will be available. Money must be in an envelope.

On the front of the envelope, write your name and grade and your date’s name and grade. If your date DOES NOT attend school at East, you must write the school he or she attends beside their name. Please also write a tshirt size for both you and your date.

JUNIORS - you will turn your envelope into Mrs. Betterton in the library.

SENIORS - you will turn your envelope into Ms. Clem in her classroom.

Pajamas and house shoes are not allowed per the Limestone County School District’s dress code.
