Hey this is Matt Scott, Principal @ East Limestone.  I hope everyone had a nice weekend.


Spring Break is just 2 weeks away! 


Spring Break will be March 23-31.


Students have a ½ day on March 21.  The second half of the day is reserved for Parent/Teacher conferences.


Friday March 22, is a professional day for teachers and staff.  We will not have school on this day.


Tuesday, March 12th we have ACT Testing for all 11th graders. Testing should last from 1st-5th periods.

Important information for  juniors:

- Preferably no backpacks the day of testing

- Students are allowed to bring a snack/drink, and we will also have some available for students.

- Leave all devices at home/in their vehicles (smartwatches and phones)

- Bring #2 pencils

- Bring calculators

- Bring photo ID

- Students must bring a check-out note in order to check out after testing to be excused.

Any current 10th or 11th grade students have not registered for next years classes - see Ms. Lyda today!


BOOK FAIR will be held in the library March 11 - 15th! Teachers, please sign up for a time to bring your classes!   We accept cash, checks, and cards! 


Jr. Beta t-shirts are now for sale, if you are interested grab a form outside of Ms. Perry’s room! T-shirts will be $15. The deadline to turn in your form and money will be Thursday, March 14.


Bowling Spring Tryouts:

For all returning players and interested students currently in 6th to 11th grade.  

March 12th, 14th @ 4 - 5:30 pm at Madison Bowling Center.


If you know anyone interested let them know. No experience or equipment needed. Coach Cox has an info packet people can pick up in his classroom.


The Science Club is going to the Birmingham Zoo.. Forms and money are due by March 26th. See Mrs. Harris or Mrs. Kucejko for information. 


The Spanish Club is going to lunch at Casa Blanca on March 20th. Forms and money are due by March 6th. See Mrs. Dawson for information.


All 11th Graders will be participating in mandatory ACT Prep during Impact period every day.


Prom will be held April 5th at The Roundhouse in Huntsville.

Tickets are $100 for a single ticket, and $150 for a couple until Wednesday, March 20, which will be the last day to purchase tickets.


Dress code reminders:

Students must be dressed appropriately.  

Shorts, skirts and dresses too short in length are not allowed.  

Leggings / yoga pants must be covered by garments that fall mid-thigh. 

Pajamas, house shoes and blankets are not allowed.


Cell phone policy reminder - cell phones, headphones or smart watches are not allowed to be out during the school day.  This includes breakfast and lunch.  


Students who are crossing the road in the afternoons….please use the crosswalk and push the button on the traffic signal to alert oncoming traffic.

This is a reminder that good sportsmanship at athletic events is not only an expectation but also a requirement. Our games and competitions are family-friendly events between high school teams. Profane language, racial slurs, or harassment of the officials, players on either team, coaches, or fellow fans will not be permitted and will result in immediate ejection of the fan from the campus for the current and future events without further warning.
